    • In 1994 and again in 1996, Catherine was nominated for a Gemini Award for "Best Performance in a Continuing Leading Dramatic Role" for her work as Natalie Lambert on Forever Knight.

    • Disher is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, the leading theatre training school in Canada.

    • Catherine is married to English actor/director Cedric Smith. They met while he was guest starring on her show War of the Worlds.

    • Fans were angry at the change in direction for the second season of War of the Worlds and targeted hatemail to many of the new cast members, including Disher. Because of these so-called "fan's" actions, Disher choses not make promotional appearances or attend science fiction conventions, nor does she encourage any fan clubs devoted to her personally.

    • In 2004, Disher received the Gemini Award for Best Actress in a Mini-Series for her role as Minister Audrey Flankman in Snakes and Ladders. The Gemini Awards are the Candian equivalent to the Emmy's.

    • In 1985, Disher worked with primatologist Birute Galdikas as a volunteer with the environmental group Earth Watch. Galdikas work is in the preservation of orangutans.

    • In addition to her work providing the voice for Jean Grey in the X-men cartoon, she also provides her voice in various X-men video games.

    • Disher provided the voice of Jill Valentine for the Resident Evil 3: Nemesis video game.
