Chace: (About his best date) I had a girlfriend at college and she called me up and said, 'Let's go camping'. She was the first girl to have ever asked me to go camping. We toured up to Yellowstone, came through San Francisco, and down towards Carmel and Big Sur. That was amazing to me, it was the best date ever. It got a little dirty towards the end, we had to shower in the river. I thought that was pretty creative of her.
Chace: (On speed-dating) I want to so bad - I've heard these wonderful things about them, it'd be kind of interesting. I mean, 10 people and you get two minutes? It's like, what's going on? Let's do this.
Chace: (on getting prepared for 'Footloose') I'm working with a mixed martial artist a couple of hours every day, doing stretching and kickboxing, getting into gymnastics and learning the fundamentals of different dance moves. Just kind of getting a limber physique.
Chace: I know pretty quick if a girl is more than a friend. It's that simple magnetic attraction, where you just want to be around them constantly.
Chace: I want to have a beautiful family. I love kids, so I'd probably have two, three, or four, maybe live in Austin [Texas] on the lake somewhere. And we'd have a couple of dogs. I just want to be content.
Chace: (About his high school life) I dated a girl from a rival high school and none of the girls from my school liked that. I was in the art department a lot so I was friends with the art kids, the drama kids and the athletes. I was best friends with lots of people so I guess I was popular.
Chace: (About the former vice presidential candidate) I'm not gonna lie. Sarah Palin is quite attractive.
Chace: (when asked if he had to wear a red vest as a valet) I wish. I was the rookie...I was running everywhere.
Chace: (on dating) I don't have a check list. If I click with someone, I click with someone.
Chace: I come from a moral background, and I can see the power of the show [Gossip Girl], and imagine my old school-teachers cringing, or my grandparents thinking 'Oh my God' when they see me, say, having sex on a barstool.
Chace: I believe we all have a handful of soulmates. The most important thing to me is someone who makes me laugh. I know that's cheesy, but really it's not as complicated as you think.
Chace: (on if 'Gossip Girl' is a bad influence on viewers) They're not stupid and it's not like we're making an instruction manual telling them how to drink and do drugs, or have sex. We're just laying out how it is.
Chace: (About the "Gossip Girl" novels) I actually thought I owed it to the fans to read them. I got halfway through the first one and realized we can do something else, take it where we want it to go. And I feel like the show is going to be able to stand on its own. We know the gist of our characters and know how it's supposed to be. I feel personally it kind of gets in my head if I read all 12 (books), or whatever there are.
Chace: (About what makes him happy) Being close to my friends. I like to spend time alone as well, but the best time is with friends around when you can laugh. It doesn't matter what we do are where we are.
Chace: I like to play golf, I love sports, American football, basketball… and to eat! And play pool.
Chace: (About New York) I love walking around, and the energy of the city is fantastic.
Chace: Doubt your doubts before you doubt your beliefs.
Chace: (about starring in "Gossip Girl") I've always wanted to, sort of, somehow hit the teen genre and it's definitely a great time in my life and a great springboard for my career.
Chace: (on acting) I take it a day at a time. I feel like if I think about it too much, it puts pressure or expectation on what I do, and that's something I don't need.
Chace: I'm into a lot of music. I used to dabble in electric guitar, but not in a band or anything.
Chace: (about watching the "Gossip Girl" pilot for the first time) When we all sat down and watched it I was like 'It's a great pilot'. I was really impressed with the look, the music, unbelievable and there's no weak links on anything from the acting to the directing, the lighting. It all came together very nicely.
Chace: (about being a heartthrob) It's weird you know I still don't know what a heartthrob is.
Chace: (when talking about being on the big screen) It was a very surreal experience for me to be honest.
Chace: (on his character in "The Covenant") I play Tyler, and he's kind of the youngest one. He's a junior in high school, and he looks up to Reid. He's kinda the rookie guy that just wants to use the power and be along for the joyride. It's a fun character, just kind of happy go lucky.
Chace: I'm an artist – I'm very artistic and it's great to have that. I have a lot drawings and paintings up in my apartment.
