Born into an entertainment family, Charity began her career at the age of 2, performing promos for her father's morning radio show on KCBQ in San Diego, California.
Featured in several television episodics and with a recurring role on GENERAL HOSPITAL, Charity's film career began with Daniel Stern in Alan Arkush's cult classic GET CRAZY. During this time she launched her first band BAD ACTOR, which was a top draw on the L.A. scene, appearing on many compilation LP's and playing the Jamaican Sunsplash. The singer/songwriter then formed her very personal project ONLY CHILD, landing deals with Enigma Records and Chrysalis Records and winning a BILLBOARD Songwriter's Award.
Attracted to fresh genres, Charity moved toward animation where she created the role of Blanco, The Slow Alien in Ivan Reitman's SPACE JAM and had a featured role in 20th Century Fox's ANASTASIA.
She then took a co-starring role with Ian Zeering in Sony Tristar's series GODZILLA and played Howie Mandel's sister Kelly on BOBBY'S WORLD for eight seasons. Charity also created the role of Dolly Pond in the stateside version of POND LIFE and has been an oft-featured voice on Fox's THE SIMPSONS.
After successfully launching her one woman show MARGEAUX HEMINGWAY IS DEAD in New York City, she returned to L.A. where she began writing and performing for the ACME COMEDY THEATRE. Playing with several critically acclaimed improv groups recently led her to co-star on the Jason Alexander - produced pilot THE DYSFUNCTIONALS.
Her first venture into film production harvested the film IDLING BRANDO, which has won several Indie Awards and is in regular rotation on IFC. Moving naturally into the world of stand-up, Charity recently performed in and produced a highly-regarded evening of stand-up comedy at L.A.'s The Knitting Factory. She is currently in development with LA VIDA LOCA: A DOG'S LIFE.
When not working on her showbiz career, Charity likes to travel to the Far East, collect shiny objects and write short stories about her neighbors
