Going on the road with Nelly in 2002 paid tremendous dividends for Chingy, the newest member of Ludacris' Disturbing Tha Peace family. The St. Louis rapper studied Nelly's every move and learned the ins and outs of artist promotion. "I watched how
everything goes," Chingy says. "From meet and greets, tour buses and backstage, I was new to all that."
Influenced by LL Cool J, Run DMC, DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Ludacris and others, Chingy quickly built a solid reputation in St. Louis and earned himself a slot opening for Nelly in 2002.
Do you think Chingy is cute? i do

Though he may be good looking to the eyes. His music shows that he isn't very modest in the way he thinks about women and children. Clearly showed in his music which is why he isn't on the top of my favorite list of rappers. But to become as big as he is he has to have some talent. Though i think he won't be hot for much longer in the music buisness i hope he learns that talking all that stuff in more then half of the songs that he raps in. He would say i never wanted to be looked that way.

i'm not much of a chingy fan, i mean his songs are foul and completely degrade women, men and children. yes, he may be popular, but i can't see what it is that makes him that special? he's a rapper yes, but there are loads of black rappers out there who are super talented, and get no recognition at all for a lot more talent them him. i admit i did like his track 'one call away' but that still couldnt make me like him as an artist. i havent seen him on tv before, frankly i dont want too!
