Chris' hit single, "Home" was featured on season 6 of American Idol as a send-off to the eliminated contestants. He would also sing the song at the season 6 finale.

In July of 2006, Chris got his first tattoo. He got his last name tattooed across the top of his back and on his shoulder blades.

Chris has proved quite successful since Idol. For the week of June 10, 2006, Daughtry charted #43 on the Billboard Hot 100, being named the Hot Shot Debut of the week.
