Chris Drury was born on August 20, 1976. Though he is currently a professional hockey player for the New York Rangers, Chris fist made his name on the baseball diamond by winning the Championship Game of the 1989 Little League World Series for Trumbull. His complete game, five-hit shuthout made him the game's MVP.
Drury, however, turned to hockey. He was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques 72nd overall in the 3rd round of the 1994 NHL Draft, and started his career in 1998-99 with the Colorado Avalanche. That year, he won the Calder Trophy, which celebrates the game's top
… More rookie. Drury was traded to the Calgary Flames on October 1, 2002, and then to the Buffalo Sabres on July 3, 2003.
Chris also serves his country well, having competed for the United States in the 2002 Winter Olympics, 2004 World Cup of Hockey, 2006 Winter Olympics, and several Ice Hockey World Championships.
Currently, Chris Drury is skating with the New York Rangers.
