He was charged with evading police, driving under the influence, assault with a deadly weapon, and driving with a suspended license.

In August of 1997, Christian Slater was arrested and charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of battery. In January of 1998, Christian Slater started his three month jail sentence, but was released after only serving 59 days. He was released early because of good behavior.

Christian Slater dropped out of high school in 1987, but years later he earned his GED. He states that he was very proud of that accomplishment.
