    • Claudia: (On Spirited) We've got a wonderfully talented cast together and we're happy to be the first cab off the rank in the W channel's plans for original drama.
    • Claudia: I think Spirited is like The Ghost and Mrs Muir meets The Odd Couple, it's playful, romantic and a little absurd.
    • Claudia: I don't know what it is about working overseas. Whether I'm too afraid or maybe I don't like it over there. I don't think it's something that's essential for me to do at this stage. But it is something people expect of Australian actors now: it seems like the inevitable thing to do.
    • Claudia: Peope are always going, 'How do you do sex scenes? How do you kiss people that you don't know?' Crying in front of people is a lot harder and a lot more confronting...You feel a lot more vulnerable.
    • Claudia: (On not moving to the USA in pursuit of her acting career) I think shared experiences are certainly my lifeline. Most of my decisions are based on relationships. It's one of the reasons I never went to America and tried to carve out a career over there. I've been in love with my partner since I was 22, I've been a stepmother since I was 22, I've had a daughter for the past three years, I've got close ties with my family and the other families that I've inherited. That defines who I am.
    • Claudia: (On her surfing skills) I'm a crappy surfer but I love getting out there.
    • Claudia: ( On her strong aversion to auditions) I need a stiff Vodka just to settle my nerves; I find it a very difficult process. It's exciting once you're in there, but the build up is the killer, not to mention the horrible wait.
    • Claudia: (On her childhood) I was always loyal to my parents, but I was a Saffy from Ab Fab. I watched that show and thought, 'Oh yeah, I can relate to that daughter.' My mother was, you know, the whole range of La Prairie, you know, sheep cells and caviar on your face, and designer clothes and out till six in the morning. But mum was also a big reader and a big thinker and passionate about issues.
    • Claudia: (On her childhood memories, living in Bali with her mother and brothers for a year.) It is a land of live volcanoes.I used to lie in bed at night, thinking a whole river of lava was going to come through my bedroom. It is very religious...We would be trekking through rice paddies in the middle of the night to see go and see trance dances and Kecak dances and all this magical stuff.
