The version of the Sawing a Woman in Half illusion that she used to perform with first husband David Copperfield in his stage shows is called Clearly Impossible. In this version of the illusion, the boxes used to cover Claudia's body from her neck to her ankles had clear sides and tops. This allowed the audience to see right through them, and see Claudia's body within, all the way through the illusion. Additionally, an audience member would hold Claudia's feet from the moment she first lay down in the boxes until after she'd been sawed through and her halves had been pulled apart, while another audience member assisted David with sawing through Claudia using a large two-person saw. The apparent impossibility of David and Claudia's performance has often led to it being rated as being one of the most baffling versions of the sawing in half illusion ever performed.
