Everyone who knows anything about British actor Colin Firth will always eventually (if not immediately) mention the role that made him a household name; that of Mr. Darcy in the television adaptation of Jane Austen's 'Pride and Prejudice'. Since then, at the time of written, Colin has twice played roles which refer back to that, first as Mark Darcy in the 'Bridget Jones' films and again in reenacting the 'wet white shirt' scene in 'St. Trinian's.'
Noted for his shyness, Colin is not fond of giving press interviews but when he does, he does so with humour and a lot of tongue-in-cheek jibes at himself and some of the characters he plays. Audiences loved him in 'Love Actually', 'The Girl With The Pearl Earring' and 'Shakespeare In Love' among many others. Whatever the role, Colin always manages to stand out and he is never out of work. There is always another Firth piece just around the corner and he makes all his characters so likeable that this trend will obviously continue for years to come.
