    • (on why he doesn't play his older hits in concerts) Colin: I'm not relying on old hits and going through the motions. I think the new records are better than the first two ones. I'm not sentimental about them anymore. I don't want to sound ungrateful -- God knows it's hard enough to get a song to stick, so you're happy about it -- but you want to move on.
    • (in 2006) Colin: Over the last four records, I've tried to write as much as I can. It's only recently that I've really been able to enjoy writing. Back in the old days, I hated it. I wasn't doing it because I wanted to; I was doing it for contractual obligations. I had to have eight out of 10 songs on a CD.

Weird, no one has discussed Colin James yet.
