    • On February 6th, 2007, Colin was nominated for a JUNO Award for his album Colin James & the Little Big Band III in the category of "Blues Album of the Year." On April 1st, 2007, Colin appeared at the JUNO Awards as a presenter for "Best Single of the Year"; however, he did not win in the category in which he was nominated.
    • On March 29th, 2006, Colin James starred in the opening episode of the Kraft Hockeyville series on CBC. Hockeyville was a contest to see which Canadian community had the best hockey spirit.
    • On April 8, 2006, Colin participated in a fundraiser to benefit both the National Arts Centre (in Ottawa) and the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation. The benefit raised $80,000 for the two causes.
    • In October, 2006, Colin went to see Bonnie Raitt in concert. She acknowledged that he was in the audience at the beginning of the show and called him up on stage to play guitar during her encore.
