Have you heard this, conan is taking over for Leno in 2009 wow. I would never have known about this. What are your fellings about this.
Does anyone know if Conan O'brien has an email address available for autogrpah requests?
Is Conan O'Brien Really the editor for this guide?
I would LOVE to go to this.. but alas, I'm in Los Angeles.... Simply Absurd: The Comedy of Late Night with Conan O'Brien Thursday, April 5; 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. Comedy connoisseurs know that Late Night with Conan O'Brien is more than just another celebrity chat show; it's also home to some of… More the most inventive, provocative, and delightfully silly humor on television, including "If They Mated," "Celebrity Secrets," and, of course, "Triumph the Insult Comic Dog." Conan O'Brien and his crack(ed) team of writers will discuss their unique brand of lunacy, and may touch on the process of bringing such outré concepts to the screen; problems with the censors; the difficulty of generating fresh material for a nightly show . . . or they may not. It's an unscripted event. Does anyone have any ideas on what changes Conan will make when he does the Tonight Show? Has anyone heard anything or perhaps you may have an opinion on what you think he should change? I've heard him say a couple of times that he assumes he will have to leave New York and move to LA.
Plus: Brian Williams debuts his new news magazine and Will Ferrell receives the Mark Twain Prize.
Here's a brief rundown of the highlights and lowlights from Sunday's three-hour master class on how to be an unfunny awards show.
We will now pull out from our top drawer a sheet of gold star stickers purchased at a Spencer’s Gifts and affix them to the comments from this week that we've found particularly worthy.
What to watch on Thursday, June 9.
Conan is a fairly good entertainer, but I just can't stand him for long periods of time. His show (really all talk shows) is only interesting when a good guest is on. While I will watch Late Night if nothing else is on, I usually change the channel. He relies on the same basic jokes, and his routine is pretty much the same every night. I was impressed when he played guitar at a night club; he's not bad. Overall he is fine. Its hard to do what he does every single night and still be funny. Not my favorite TV personality but still a solid host.
Conan O'Brien was born Conan Christopher O'Brien on April 18, 1963 in Brookline, Massachusetts. He grew up with 5 siblings: Neal(born 1960) who is a car collector, Luke (born 1962) who is a lawyer, Kate(born 1964) who is a school teacher, Jane(born 1967) who is a writer, and Justin(born 1972) who is a consultant. I love tuning in to Conan's talk-show because he is so funny, in my opinion. On January 12, 2002 he married Liz Powel at St. James Cathedral in Liz's hometown. they have two children: a daughter Neve, born October 14, 2003 and a son, Beckett(born November 9, 2005. In my opinion, he is one of the funniest talk-show hosts.
SO fake...How can u assume that the majority of the people know every jokes of his. Which are also hardly funny. Considering the buzzers in the NBC studio it seems like torture to tell ppl when to laugh and then they have to laugh to be admitted free in the show. BAD SHOW !
Conan is absolutely HILARIOUS! I love the show, it's great! I can't wait until he takes over for Leno.
The only problem is the frequent (and long... and random) holidays this guy takes. Not to mention how they tend to reuse sketches very close together, but otherwise it's good.
There are a few sketches that they could do without though, such as actual items and celebrity survey, but they are good for the most part.
This show is great, Conan is great and I hope he makes the Tonight Show funny again. Definately one of my all time favourites, a great writer and comedian!
This guy is the best late night talk show host alive. Period. No competition. David Letterman? Not even close. Jay Leno? He is finally leaving the Tonight Show and hopefully Conan will make it funny. He gives one of the funniest interviews. Usually, interviews are only funny if the guest is a comedian but Conan makes even the dumbest super model entertaining. His monologue jokes are always hilarious and even if he bombs one, his reaction makes up for it! Not to mention the fact that he wrote for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons when they were still considered great shows. He rose from an unknown face to hold his talk show spot based on PURE TALENT !!
Can't wait for The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien!!
