Bailey puts her wedding day on hold and continues her efforts to save Adele's life, Cristina and Owen remain undecided about their pending divorce, while Arizona and Callie try to get their spark back. Meanwhile, the hospital becomes inundated with a group of bikers after a horrible accident.

Eric makes a final and desperate attempt to bring down the Authority and, at the same time, save Bill from losing his humanity. Alcide gets ready for a second confrontation with JD. Sam and Luna must use all their resources in order to escape from the Authority. Andy must deal with the consequences of a deal he made.

Salome and the Chancellors celebrate the start of the vampire holy war. Sookie gets a hint about her parents' murder but anti-supernatural enthusiasts put her in danger. Eric plans his escape. After receiving an alarming message from Jesus, Ruby Jean gets a visit from Lafayette. Terry thinks a curse is to blame for his predicament. Sam lends Andy a hand with an investigation. In New Orleans, Eric and Bill get together with the ancient vampire Salome, a member of the Authority, and become familiar with how the Authority's does interrogation. Pam remembers to back when she was human and when Eric first came into her life. Alcide refuses to take over as the new packmaster. Sam and Luna deal with Marcus' mother who comes looking for Emma. Sookie acquires a system to protect her home should Russell show up. Terry's erratic behavior has Arlene concerned. Jessica receives an offer from Steve Newlin. Jason's life of numerous casual sexual affairs with women weighs heavy on him. Tara resurfaces in Bon Temps.

Sookie and Lafayette deal with the aftermath of Tara's encounter with Debbie Pelt. The Vampire Authority along with a woman from Eric's past make a call on Bill and Eric. Alcide and Sam are faced with an angry werewolf pack. Jessica celebrates her new freedom with some partying. The recently turned Steve Newlin pays a visit to Jason. An old Iraq War buddy reignites Terry's PTSD. Alcide warns Sookie about the resurfaced Russell Edgington.

Burt starts gambling again, keen on reclaiming the property he lost betting almost 20 years ago. Virginia and Jimmy try to intervene, but end up getting swept up in the magic of gambling, prompting their friends to stop the family from losing everything.
