Damien: I would tell people that having a really great sense of self by virtue of being true to who you are is the beginning to becoming successful. There are a few people who attain fame and fortune and completely lose themselves and who they are in material objects. That to me isn't success. I remember meeting Carlos Santana and was really taken back at how much of a normal guy he was. He is a true icon in music and his music will still be relevant 30 years from now, but this guy walks around without expensive jewelry or fancy cars and still maintains an image of success. It's because complete happiness comes from inside you, and the sooner you realize this the sooner you can appreciate yourself. So, just follow your heart and be true. That to me is the true secret to being successful. Go for it. It's worth the struggle.
Damien: (about his first kiss) It was with a girl from the neighborhood and I was 12 or 13. She came over and we sat on my bed and she told me that she wanted to "prepare" me for the dating world. So, we kissed and I felt really cheap.
Damien: I was interviewing Tyra Banks, and some spit came out of my mouth and landed on her lip! She called me out on it on-air and in front of a live studio audience - and 400,000 viewers!
