    Dana = Pete... hide show

    There are some times when you see a face and you instantly connect it with something.And some faces you remember for all time.I'm not familiar with Dana's work.There is only one piece that I will remember always, because it will remind me of my childhood. When we were running in front of the TV to watch McGyver and his faithful friend Pete. Behind every great man there is always a great friend ( see Sherlock - Watson ). Most of the time they stay in the shadow but without them the outcome and the emotions are not the same. Dana became one of the most recognizable faces of the 80s. I don't think there is anyone around the age of 30 that won't shout "Look, it's Pete", when he sees his photo somewhere. I know I do :). R.I.P. Dana, thanks for the memories...

    I have only seen Dana Elcar on MacGyver as Pete Thorton, MacGyver's boss at the Phoenix Foundation. Honestly, I think he is just mediocre. He has some amazing moments with great acting, but most of the time he is just not very good. He does ok interpreting Pete Thorton and he always seems to be lacking in something. I have great respect for him because he became blind and did a lot with that. Unfortunately, his talent was never up to par, though he wasn't that bad. Overall, he is just an ok actor and did ok playing Pete Thorton.
