Before joining the cast of In Justice as Jon Lemonick in 2006, Daniel Cosgrove was known to daytime fans as Bill Lewis in the long-running daytime drama, Guiding Light. He subsequently returned to the series in 2007.

In November 1996, when he took the role of Scott Chandler on ABC's All My Children, Daniel was working as a bailiff in the New Haven County sheriff's office. While still portraying the teen heartthrob during the day, he filmed his first movie role, a small part in The Object of My Affection.

In 1998, he assumed the role of attorney Matt Durning on Fox's Beverly Hills 90210. Since then he has starred in several motion pictures, including Valentine and Van Wilder: Party Liaison. Cosgrove also starred in When the Music Stops, a VH1 original movie, and in ABC's Satan's School for Girls.

A native of New Jersey, Cosgrove and his wife, Marie, currently live in Connecticut with their daughters, Lily, Esmé Rose and Ruby Willow.
