Daniel Davis is an Arkansas native, born November 26th, 1945 in Gurdon. He was born to parents who owned and operated a movie theater. His desire to become an actor started when he spent a lot of time in the theater's "crying room" for babies. His first professional work came when he was 11 years old, when he became a member of a local Little Rock broadcast children's show, Betty's Little Rascals. His formal acting training came from the Arkansas Arts Center, a fine arts conservatory. He also worked with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, and the American Conservatory Theater(ACT), where he also taught some classes. His love for theater has been obvious throughout his career. Davis has performed in many Shakespeare plays, along with a number of musicals, as he is also an accomplished singer.
