Stand-up comedian David Brenner learned all about jokes from his dad, Louis Yehuda, a vaudeville singer, dancer and comedian. David made his debut on The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson. He starred in a short-lived NBC sitcom in 1976 called Snip, a take-off of the Warren Beatty film "Shampoo". The show never made it to the small screen because one of the characters was openly gay David would go on to host Nightlife for two years in 1986. David has appeared over 150 times on the Tonight Show a record.
