    • David: (on finding out that Jimmy Barnes was his father) It was really odd. He was a friend of the family and I had a vague memory of him when I was a child but really had no idea that it was coming. Jimmy flew my grandmother and I over to spend a week with him. I think she was testing whether the sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll lifestyle was real, or whether he was still the nice bloke he was when she knew him - he's always been the same bloke and he's a terrific guy. After that, she told me. It was a shock but now it is what it is.
