David Clennon, an American actor, was born May 10, 1943, in Waukegan, Illinois. Before beginning his acting career, he participated in the Vietnam War protests. After the Vietnam War protests ended, he began his acting career in off-Broadway roles. Clennon's first film role was as Toombs in The Paper Chase with Timothy Bottoms and Lindsay Wagner. Clennon has worked with Susan Sarandon, Sissy Spacek, and Meryl Streep. He won the Emmy in 1993 for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his guest role on the television series Dream On. He played Peter Brewer in the episode For Peter's Sake. Clennon won a Golden Satellite Award in 1999 for Best Performance by An Actor in a Supporting Role in a Mini-Series for his role in From the Earth to the Moon. Television viewers will recognize Clennon from his role as Miles Drentell on thirtysomething and Once and Again. In 2009-2010, he played Carl the Watcher on Ghost Whisperer.
