    • David: (on his modeling days in Paris) It was a great experience but living in Paris really isolated me and I became very dormant.
    • David: My dad was a big guy and lifted weights; he used to put me on his back and do push-ups. So I was interested in working out right away because of him.
    • David: (on staying in shape) To be in totally great shape, you have to really want it. I proved that to myself.
    • David: (on his wedding to his "One Life to Live," co-star, Melissa Gallo) Weddings are for women and guys just show up. They get to be a part of it, but it means the same to me whether we get married in court or in my backyard. But there is something to having all of your friends and family together, just celebrating. That's kind of cool.
    • David: (on taping his final scenes with "One Life to Live" co-star, Renee Elise Goldsberry) It wasn't really a big deal at the time because I didn't think she was leaving; I thought she'd be back in a week! So it's kind of like I missed out on saying good-bye.
    • David: (on working with his "One Life to Live" co-star, Kassie DePaiva) She's awesome. I can't say how happy I am work with her, and we're both excited that they're writing more of the Blair/Cristian friendship.
    • David: (on working with his "One Life to Live" co-star, Trevor St. John) You never know what he's going to do and he makes a lot of interesting choices. So it's fun. You learn from different actors, and he's very different from everybody else at OLTL.
    • David: (on taking speech classes) I was trying to get rid of my accent and become a little more articulate. I was basically just doing tongue twisters and a Shakespearean monologue. But there's always room for making yourself better.
    • David: (on making his first feature film, "Greetings from the Shore") I have a great time playing Cristian, but I definitely want to explore other things. When you're working on a different character, you get to explore a different side of who you are.
    • David: (on his "One Life to Live" character, Cristian Vega) Cristian's kind of a hothead, but he's a good guy, so he expects the same from everyone else.
    • David: When I was 13, I got an earring, and my dad kicked me out of the house. So, my hear bled for three months because I'd have it off when I was home, then put it back in when I was out of the house.
    • David: I grew up in this country. This is what I know. I can't say I'm 50 percent American and 50 percent Cuban. I'm just a mix. I'm American on my passport. But I always say I'm Cuban, because that's where I was born. But I am American, I have an American passport and this is my country.
    • David: I'm kind of a kid when it comes to movies--I love action films.
    • David: The thing that really surprised me, that I still think about, is how lucky I am to be able to travel so much. When I was growing up in Miami I never even thought I'd get to travel as far as New York. Next thing you know I was on the other side of the world in Europe walking a runway for Versace.
    • David: It's a good feeling when people recognize you and like you, because that says they like your work. At least, I hope it's my work they're happy to see!
