    Best Simpsons showrunner. hide show

David Mirkin was the showrunner for the Simpsons on the fifth and sixth seasons, the two best seasons. The episodes during his reign often had bizarre and unrealistic things happening without seeming wacky and stupid, and always making you laugh so hard your face feels like it will rip from you head. He also created the show Get A Life, which was like a live action cartoon, and he's very funny on Simpsons DVD commentaries.
