Davina McCall

Davina was the first female presenter alongside T4's Steve Jones, to appear on Channel 4's new channel 4Music, on it's launch night - 15th August 2008.

Davina is famous for only wearing black on Big Brother. In over 11 seasons of the show's run through various incarnations, she has only strayed away from black on a small handful of occasions. Over the years this had become a running joke between her and Dermot O'Leary who hosted BBLB.

Davina has three children: Holly (2001), Tilly (2003), and Chester (2006). They were all born in the month of September, at home as Davina is a big advocate of home birth.

Davina does a lot of charity work. She helps out with Comic Relief and in the past three years has travelled to Kenya and Uganda to see how the money raised is being used.

Davina was named TV Presenter of the Year in the 2006 Glamour Awards.

Davina has tattoos of horns on her hips, a rose on her wrist and an alien on her bottom.

Davina met her current husband while walking her dog in a west London park.

While getting over her drug addiction Davina's old friend Eric Clapton helped turn things around for her though and with his help she landed a job presenting her own show on the music channel MTV[UK] in 1992.

Davina worked as a singing waitress in Paris for a short time.

Davina ran a restaurant for two years.

Davina appeared in a Kylie Minogue pop video, Word Is Out.

Disappointed with her near misses in the record industry, she gave up singing and took a job at Models One on the men's desk as a booker.

During her late teens Davina dated Eric Clapton, who produced her demo music disc and helped her to break in the pop music world.

At the age of 15 Davina sang professionally with a band. However she didn't go solo until she was 19.

Davina developed the eating disorder anorexia-nervosa when she was a teenager.

Davina was originally born in London, but at the age of three she went to live with her grandparents in their Surrey home after her parents' marriage dissolved. Her french mother Florence returned to Paris, and Davina would see her only on holidays. She continued to see her father Andrew, a graphic designer, on weekends before moving in with him and his new wife Gaby when she was 13.

Davina was voted 95th in a poll of the 100 Worst Britons, conducted by Channel 4.

Davina was refused permission to explore the new Big Brother house after the secrecy level having increased to improve the effect of the show. They wanted Davina to be just as surprised as the rest of the world.

Davina is known for her unique name and for the fact that she appears at almost every award show and presented the 2006 BAFTA Awards.
