    • Dean appeared in Shyne's music video 'Bonnie and Shyne'.
    • Dean's brother, Scott Winters, is also an actor, and he played Ryan O'Reily's own brother Cyril on 'Oz'. Dean's other brother, Brad, also wrote for 'Oz', making 'Oz' a family affair for the Winter brothers.
    • Dean Winters worked with Christopher Meloni in both 'Law and Order: SVU' and 'Oz'. In 'SVU' Winters played Detective Cassidy, and in 'Oz' Prisoner Ryan O'Riley. After doing almost a full season of 'SVU', Winters left the 'Law and Order' cast to become one of the most recognisable stars of 'Oz'.
