Born Deanna Bowers, Dee Wallace grew up in Kansas City, Kansas with her parents Maxine and Robert Stanley Bowers. She attended Wyandotte High School before attending Kansas University. Dee graduated with a degree in education and taught high school drama at Washington High School in Kansas City.
Dee is best known for her horror film roles - The Howling, Cujo, and The Hills Have Eyes to name a few.
Dee's film debut was in 1975 playing the small role of a maid in "The Stepford Wives."
Dee graduated from University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas in 1971 with degrees in theater and education, BA.
Dee also has a book on healing due for a 2006 release by Jodere Press.
Dee has run a full acting studio based in Hollywood since 2002.
Dee's first husband was the late actor Christopher Stone whom she co-starred with in Cujo.
Dee has been married to production manager Skip Belyea since 1998.
Dee has one daughter, Gabrielle, by Christopher Stone.
She is only 5' 4½" (1.64 m) tall.
