    • Demi: (on the self-inflicted cuts she has) I think scars are like battle wounds-beautiful, in a way. They show what you've been through and how strong you are for coming out of it. My tattoos say "Stay strong." "Stay on one [wrist] and "strong" on the other. Now I'm able to look at them and be thankful for being alive. I think that I've been blessed over the past year to be able to start over.
    • Demi: What would I do if I were President? That's a good question! I'd make more impact on music classes in school. There are so many schools taking out music programs, but sometimes it's really all kids have. It's all I had when I was in school.
    • Demi Lovato: (on what you can relate to the theme of Camp Rock) The theme of the movie is to be yourself and not worry about being popular. That's what I had to worry about in middle school. I was always worried about being popular. Wow, if I had a chance to do it over again, I'd so rather be a nerd than be popular -- it's so much less stressful and you can be yourself.
