Derek Acorah

Yvette Fielding has single handedly turned thousands of interested people away from any interest in the paranormal. Her silly shrieking voice is enough to bug anyone. Add to this treacly Derek Acorah drivelling on about his psychic bum chum Sam and you have a recipe for pure rubbish. After 10 minutes of being to be subjected to this nonsense my 30 year interest in the paranormal started to dwindle. I suppose this show might be of interest to the kind of mouth breathing bufoon who watches the whole string of reality rubbish that we are swamped with every Saturday evening, but since I can boast an IQ larger than my shoe size I will never subject myself to this tripe again!

"The Most Haunted" is only interesting to watch if you are a fan of English comedy. Derek Acorah (not his real name) goes into his "trances" and babbles on like a carnival medium trying out for a 1940's horror movie as he recites a poorly memorized script and blurts out the names of unseen dead people around him. His crowning achievement is conducting seances that are straight out of a beginers book from the library. Everyone on the show looks and acts like they are in a bad stage performance.



These people travel thousands of miles to supposedly "investigate" the unknown, but run as fast as they can from any noise or movements that aren't made by the camera man. I honestly believe there are times when they would much rather not be in this show. I have never seen a picture or heard a recorded noise that they have captured that appeared even slightly supernatural. My magnet-on-a-string would be an upgrade to the scientific hardware they they brandish. The ever-fearful female hostess's "who-goosed-me?" screams and "Acorah's" over-acting would drown out the efforts of the most active spirits who might try to upstage either of them. Too bad. Viewers might have had a chance to see something for real if these fraidy-cat clowns weren't involved. That's the only reason for watching, isn't it?

We will not miss an episode if at all possible. Our grandchildren stay the night so they can watch "Most Haunted" with us! What better critics than a three year old and a five year old. Our granddaughter has over come her fear of the para-normal through this show. Derek has helped me to see that being a christian and a belief in the supernatural are not at odds as I use to believe. Friday at our home has now become "Most Haunted night for us and as long as the team keeps up the good work it will continue to be our family time.

I have recently started to watch Most Haunted, and I am impressed with the show. One of the most interesting people to me is the Medium, Derek. He is a fascinating person to watch. I will continue to watch this show as long as Derek is a part of it.

I am not an easy person to convince regarding so called paranomal activity. My background is engineering and we engineers like to be able to explain any activity. Derek has convinced me on each occassion I have viewed Most Haunted that some sort of activity did exist which defied logical explaination.His gift is not easy to understand his results are.

the best i have seen ever he almost always gets it on the ball . I do believe he is one of the most gifted men in his field of work, he is very into what he does and that makes watching most haunted the best shows on tv. and Sam rocks too

I hate to see Derik leave the show,but he has to do what he must. I Wish him the best. I also which the rest of the crew and show the best of luck. May God Bless each and everyone of them. I know that alot of people do not believe in the things that the show does,but I do. I hope that people see this and understand that things are out there and that it just is not the wind or a floor making noise. You guys are doing a great job.

My review about Derek is... fantastic! My older sister, and my older daugther and I have to watch Most Haunted just to see what will become of Derek. It\'s a remarkable thing that he does, and let\'s not forget about Sam. It is wonderful how Sam comes through for Derek. We love watching Derek and the rest of the crew. There is times when Derek enters a place, and he begans to talk about what had happened, I start to feel all eerie inside, and picturing everything is even eerier. We will miss him dearly on Most Haunted because we are so use to the rest of the crew, but we will continue to watch Most Haunted as long as it stays on the air. But I will be waiting desperately for Derek\'s new show. The more of him we can see is satifying to us. We love you Derek, you are a wonderful person and an outstanding gentleman.

Derek Acorah is one of the best spirit mediums I have ever witnessed.I found out about Derek when I first watched Most Haunted,now one of my favorite shows.It pops up an information box on Most Haunted about the location where there doing the investigation and this usually happens when Derek is doing a prediction,and most of the time he is right.I have noticed in episode after episode,Derek gets better in his predictions.I believe that Derek should get all the credit he is achieving right now and should always have a program with him on it having to do with the paranormal.

A few weeks ago i started watching most haunted and I enjoy the show very much i think Derek is a cutie pie hehehe. I do belive in ghost stories as long they dont happen to me lmao. I also belive the haunted shows they show on tv to Bye Danessa
