Devon Bostick was born on November 13, 1991 in Toronto, Ontario. He is a graduate of the Etobicoke School of the Arts in Toronto. His mother, Stephanie Gorin, is a casting agent and his father, Joe Bostick, is an actor as well as a film fight coordinator. Devon began acting at a very young age, playing a role in the 2004 drama Godsend when he was just 13. He has done various roles in television shows as well as films. His most memorable role is in the film Adoration (2008), directed by Atom Egoyan and as Rodrick Heffley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid (2011-12). He also appeared in prominent films like Land of the Dead, Citizen Duane, and Saw IV. He had roles in The Poet, a World War II drama starring Roy Scheider and Colm Feore. By 2009, Bostick was playing a starring role in the series Being Erica, and a prominent part in the miniseries Assassin's Creed: Lineage.
