Devon Sawa: Just stick to your goals, your dreams and be very patient, because everyday there is more and more actors that want to do it. The competition is fierce, so stick with it. As much there is talent, there's a lot of luck; being at the right place at the right time.
Devon Sawa: I really got into Meg Ryan after I saw her in When a Man Loves a Woman. I had a huge crush on her. She's a great actress, and I just like the way she carries herself.
On his idea of a dream date...
Devon: I'd like to go to the beach at night and picnic on the beach, maybe hold hands, walk down the beach, listen to the waves under the moon. That probably would be my dream date.
Devon: L.A. is a really crazy place; and it has a really fast pace and fake people. Everybody wants to be your friend at one point or another. It's crazy.
Devon Sawa: One casting director told me, "You're the next Leonardo DiCaprio," and when I heard that, I said, "Let's talk about how I don't want anything to do with being like Leo." He's an amazing actor, but the films we're pushing to do are different. I'm going my own way... in a big way.
On how he got into acting in Kindergarten
Devon Sawa: We had to make our own costumes, and I wore this cardboard box. And ever since then, I've been into acting.
Devon: There are tons of things that have been written about me on the Internet that are total crap. I'll go on to these fan sites and think, where the hell did that come from? All of a sudden I have two gerbils and four goldfish? I mean, really, two gerbils? And they're named Coke and Pepsi or something like that. Come on!
Devon: I don't smile a lot in pictures. I'm not into being the cheeseball.
Devon: My fans made me. But sometimes there's some weird stories about me... my favorite color, the kind of girls I like. All of that stuff that's just not true and I never said it. All I ask is that my fans don't believe everything they read.
Devon: I don't know if I have ever been in love.
