  • Quotes

    • Dina (on Lindsay's relationship with Samantha Ronson): If she's happy, I'm happy. That's all I'll say. Samantha's great. I've known her and her family for ten years. I love Lindsay and I love Samantha, if they are happy, I am happy. This is my child, I mean, what better place for a child to be than happy in her soul and her spirit.

    • Dina: You can only instill so much in your children, and then you just have to pray that they do the right thing. I have faith in my children. I know that no child is perfect, and they're going to make mistakes. I just hope they're not big ones.

    • Dina: (when actress Jodie Foster publicly blamed her for her daughter Lindsay's behavior) It really saddens me that a mom would comment on another mom without even meeting me. Ironically, Lindsay's talent was compared to Jodie Foster's as a little girl! All we want as parents is to cultivate our children's dreams, no matter what field they choose. She has no idea who we are or what we have dealt with! If she has a question to ask me, don't ridicule me publicly! She should know how the press twists the truth. Don't judge without the facts!

    • Dina (on the media's opinion of her): Oh, the party mom, the party mom, the party mom! Whoever said that, my ex-husband or whatever, I'm not the party mom! You throw enough pasta on the walls, some pasta's going to stick, okay?

    • Dina: I'm living the American dream.

    • Dina: Paris (Hilton) is a really smart girl, and she's come really far. Paris' mom (Kathy) was wonderfully embracing to me. You know, you can't blame parents for kids.

    • Dina (on daughter Lindsay's clubbing): This [premieres and parties] is the fun part of the business. She'll be 21 in a few months. Regardless, of course, as a parents, you set boundaries and scold them. But there are these dark stories – she is so misunderstood. All she wants to do is act and have a somewhat normal life. When you're 20, it's normal to want to go to The Ivy, to go to the hot stores. She can't live in a bubble.
