Dominique Swain was born in Malibu, CA and has three sisters and a brother. Her interests include writing, art, and sculpting. She excels in sports which include softball, swimming, track and soccer. She also does very well in school and is a straight A student; she hopes to someday direct film. She attended Malibu High School, in Los Angeles, and intends to take time out from her acting career to attend college.
Her big break came when she was selected from among 2500 girls to play the lead in Adrian Lyne's remake of the Vladimir Nabokov classic novel Lolita.
