Don Wilson began his career in entertainment 1st in radio and then moved into television and films and spent almost his entire professional career in projects associated with Jack Benny. Wilson will be forever remembered as the announcer of the Jack Benny Show in both in radio and later in television. In the beginning of his career Wilson attended college at the University of Colorado and was a voice coach in Denver, he got his start on the radio in 1923 doing unpaid guest appearances on local Denver radio stations. Wilson debuted as the announcer of the Jack Benny Radio program on AprilMore 13th, 1934 in an episode titled "Bridge Game" and thus began a professional association with Benny that would last the rest of his life. Wilson's career with the Jack Benny radio program lasted for 21 years until the show ended on May 22nd, 1955. As Benny moved into film and television Wilson along with much of the cast followed.
