Donovan's dances in Blue's Clues were inspired by the skit "Wild and Crazy Guys" on Saturday Night Live.

Donovan was chosen to be Steve Burns' replacement as host on Blue's Clues based on how well he did in his screen test with Burns.

Donovan stands 6 feet tall.

Donovan attended the Interlochen Arts Academy in Interlochen, Michigan when he was young.
