I really got to "know" Dylan Neal as Toronto police detective "Mike Celluci" on the fabulous and equally under rated Canadian-made TV series, "Blood Ties". He was the perfect foil for Kyle Schmid's bastard son- of-a-King vampire, "Henry Fitzroy" and the story lines could have gone on forever had someone with a whit of imagination been at the Lifetime helm. Meantime, I only have my Blood Ties DVD's to turn to when I need my Celluci fix.

But I have also seen him play some really creepy and just not-nice characters such as the husband from hell in the TV movie "Cradle of Lies". And then he can turn it around and play "Sgt. Jaspar Linney", the ever so eerily perfect brother to the ever so eerily perfect Detective William Murdoch on "Murdoch Mysteries"...which I should hope would be a continuing role for this talented actor and this great series.

Bottom line: a really great performer with a lot of depth and I want to see much more...
  • I enjoy watching him.

Though I wouldn't call him a favorite character I do enjoy watching him. He has a flair for the sarcastic, not rude, comedy that he got to show off on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. And puts a nice play on the more sensitive laid back drama on his stint on Dawson's Creek. He's plesant to watch and he doesn't fill you with that sense of dread when you see a secondary character walk onto a show and then get placed a little more upfront. He makes it work.
  • Is one talented, funny actor.

I first came across the acting talents of Dylan Neal as Deputy Doug Whitter on Dawson's Creek. How I would best describe his character's attitude/stage presence as the serious, somewhat funny guy to comedic style of Joshua Jackson's character of Pacey, Doug's little brother on the show. In addition to enjoying Neal's acting talents on Dawson's Creek, I also found him to be hilarious in the character of Aaron, Sabrina's fiance on Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. And of the two characters that I have seen him in, I would have to say that I found him more enjoyable in the role of Aaron, quite possibly because he and Melissa Joan Hart were feeding off of each other and making each other's character a little more funny and zany. It would be great to see Dylan Neal in more acting roles, because he is one talented actor.
