With American Inventor, Ed Evangelista becomes the first advertising creative to be "embedded" in entertainment content.
With his experience in both Hollywood and on Madison Avenue, Evangelista is poised to take the advertising world into an innovative and unprecedented dimension. He stands at the zeitgeist of advertising communication, big brand strategy, digital communications and entertainment content- mixing it together to create fresh, new creative formats that people will want to spend time and engage with.
Evangelista's career has been spent creating award-winning advertising and branding for world-class clients, including Rolex, Smirnoff, The Diamond Trading Company (formerly DeBeers) and Merril Lynch. He currently acts as executive creative director at the NY Headquarters of JWT, one of the oldest and largest advertising agencies in the U.S. Here he has launched such campaigns as The Right Hand Ring ("Women of the world raise your right hand"), Three Stone Diamond Jewelry ("For your past, present and future") and, most recently, the "I Forever Do" campaign, all for The Diamond Trading Company. He has also created award-winning work for Smirnoff Ice and Smirnoff Twist flavored vodkas, LIFE Magazine, Philips Electronics, Club Med, Volvo, MCI, The Wall Street Journal and Elizabeth Arden, among others.
Evangelista is the quintessential automobile aficionado. With his background in art direction and an eye for immense detail, he indulges himself in ground-up restorations. Among all the cars in his private collection, his favorites are the Italian marques. Personally restoring these fine cars to original condition is a "job never done," says Evangelista. He attentively uses the same strict "by hand" method by which these exquisite sports cars are made.
Evangelista holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. His other hobbies include building houses, fishing, boating and boxing. He currently lives on Long Island in New York City with his wife and two children.
