Eddie Guerrero is and forever will be the most beloved superstar. Eddie was very original there's no one who will ever be him. one of the best Latinos wrestlers. He was a part of WWE WCW and ECW. Eddie had a ton of charisma mic skills, and wrestling talent. Eddie was a WWE superstar who enjoyed entertaining his fans with his LYING,CHEATIN, N Stealing. Eddie was born into wrestling on 10-9- 1967. He is a member of the world famous wrestling family the Guerrero's. With his father the great Gory Guerrero and his brothers Chavo, Mando and Hector Guerrero and his nephew WWE Superstar Chavo Guerrero Jr. Eddie was a great man he had to face his demons in drugs and alcohol. Eddie had great feuds with his nephew Chavo Guerrero Jr( those feuds and promos made me watch WCW) Rey mysterio(also made me watch wcw) Dean Malenko(made Ecw and WCW better) JBl their feuds were painful. WCW never gave Eddie or any other cruiserweight a chance for the big time. Eddie in The WWE rose to stardom with his Latino Heat gimmick. Eddie was a world heavyweight champion and was going to be again. A 3 WWE tag team champion(2w/Chavo and 1w/Rey Mysterio) a 2 time IC champion a US champion. A 2 time European Champion. A wcw US champion a WCW cruiserweight champion and a 2 time ECW champion. Eddie finishers were the frg splash(a tribute to Art Barr) and The Tornado DDT(which he created)

Eddie Guerrero (1967 - 2005). Thank you, Eddie. You've done us proud. In fact the WWE, ROH and even WWE rival Tna did a tribute for Eddie Guerrero I bet you that Eddie is up in heaven Lying cheating and stealing
  • Eddie was a very ORINGINAL wrestler and there was no one who could be him. Just his ego of LYING,CHEATIN, N Stealing is good. He was one of the best pro wrestlers out there and I really hope if someone could be his clon and be exactly like him.

That is true and eddie was a good wrestler and no one could be like him unless they clon him. He was a very goo entertainment wreslter with the lyin, cheatin, stealin ego that made the crowd alive. He was such a good guy and since he is dead no one cares about him any more not even his wife but I still do because he was one of my idles and i look up to him and I doe know y people can't look at the wway I look at him. He was a very good champion. All his low riders was another great thing about him.
  • One of the best Latino wrestlers of all time

Eddie has wrestled in many promotions. Three of the biggest being ECW, WCW and WWE.

The one thing I liked about Eddie is the way he performed in the ring as well as the character he played in the WWE. Lying, cheating and stealing. Man, I loved that. And to think, this was the WWE's attempt to make him a heel, but despite that, fans still loved him cause all of his stunts were hilarious as ever.

Sadly, the WWE and fans lost him last November. Eddie Guerrero will truly be missed by his family, friends from the locker room and fans in general.

Eddie Guerrero (1967 - 2005). Thank you, Eddie. You've done us proud.
  • Remembering Eddie one year later and always.

One year after his death this great man. Yeah it's one year ago that Eddie passed. The WWE has rebounded, but really Eddie's presence is undeniable and the WWE could certainly use him. I absolutely despite the way the WWE has shamelessly exploitated his death to promote storylines with Randy Orton, Rey and Chavo but it's too be expected. Even TNA wouldn't go this route.

With that said, anybody who is a Eddie fan needs to remember what he did. Watch his matches all over again. I laugh at all the WWE fans who think they know Eddie, but haven't seen his work outside of the WWE (AAA, WCW, ECW).

My favorite times with Eddie are the classic lines like "Latino Heat", and "I lie, I cheat and I steal", but the true testament is the reaction of the fans. He had great matches with Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko and Art Barr (Love Machine in Mexico) to name a few. I can honestly say that perhaps he made them better. In Art's case after he died, Eddie adopted the frog splash as his finisher. Then comes the classic matches with and against Chavo. I would seriously urge any Eddie fan to track down every Eddie match out there and really pay tribute him because his impact is still felt today. Unlike other stars that are simply overrated and lack the wrestling skill.

Then of course finally at the end Eddie was rewarded for all his hard work by defeating the overrated Brock Lesnar for the title at No Way Out. WWE fans have to realize that if Eddie hadn't died, he would more title reigns. Eddie had it all, and unfortunately years of abuse on his own body robbed us of more great years with him. As the saying says though, it's how a man dies that matters , it's how he lived and Eddie lived life to the fullest potential imaginable. Viva La Raza!!!!!!
  • Eddie Guerero is definently an all-time great in any wrestling brand or fan.

My favorite wrestler of all on the WWE was Eddie Guerero. At first, I didnt know who he was. Then I had seen my first wrestling match on there and it was him, I belive he was wrestling JBL for the championship, not for sure though. Anyway, I liked him really when I seen him do his little strut to the wrestling move, "the what ca ma call it", sorry, cant remember. Also, I would always like to see him drive in with one of his hotrods and put it in hydrolix. I said riding the Family name becuase he has a whole line of wrestlers in his family, including Chavo Guerero, and he kept that legacy alive up to this day, and he wasnt a fake wrestler truly, as he won ships all over the place in hgih school real wrestling. So he will definintly be remember under the name Guerero, and for his endurance in wrestling.

I've watched and followed Eddie when he was in ECW and WCW. I kinda growed up following Eddie Guerrero trough his career in the United States. Then when he switched to WWF/WWE in 2001, I think, I stopped watching wrestling for some reason. I started watching wrestling again in at the end of 2003 I think and the first thing I thought when I started again was like "S**t, Eddie Guerrero is in the WWE?!" So I started watching Smackdown, where he wrestled and I just loved him. Eddies promos and matches brought back some good old memories. So you can imagine how devastating it was for me when I heard about his passing. My dream was to sometime in my life meet him face to face. I miss you Eddie and I hope that we will finally meet eachother face to face...

eddie shouldhave been a little better"Latino Heat" Eddie Guerrero came a long way before becoming a WWE Superstar. Was trained with his family, the legendary Guerrero family. His father, Gory, wrestled with El Santo in Mexico, who is like Hogan in America. Eddie broke into wrestling in the late 80s wrestling for independents and going international. Wrestled as the "Black Tiger" in Japan, and as "Mascara Magica" in Mexico.... to try and win the worls usgruiser title in a steele pole match for every thing i would probably ask for more than 10 cups of water if u have questions ask gecko55400

Eddie was a great man. Words can't even describe how great he is. Even though I am not famous I liked pretending to be like, part of the shows I watch. I like acting along to them. I guess it is just something I do. So I feel close to the people on the show or cartoon that I do that with. I do it with wrestling all the time. So you can imagine I was crying when I saw RAW. At first it was like 'oh thats sad, I wish I could have met him for real' then when I saw all of those wrestlers crying and that low rider sitting up their, I just started crying. I had dreams of me hanging out with the superstars and the one I wanted to meet was Eddie. He was always my favorite even if he did play the heal. When I hear certain songs they remind me of him. The main two would be The Sun by Maroon 5 and Here Without You by 3 Doors Down. Eddie was special. I wish I actually had the chance of knowing him. Maybe I will. But a long long long long long time from now. Like when I'm over 70 or 80. You know 90 is good too.
  • Eddie should have been bigger!

Eddie as we all know had been WWE Champion but ever since he lost to JBL, he was pushed down the card. He deserved another run with the title! Eddie will forever be remembered as \'Latino Heat\'

I remember finding out on the internet and as soppy as it sounds, it touched me as it touched a lot of people! Edie was a great man and had wrestling is his bones.

On his DVD, he\'d talk about how he and Chavo would get in the ring during breaks and wrestler but the event holders stopped that as people would watch match ratehr than buying food...lol.

No matter whether you liked or hated Eddie...he\'ll never be forgotten!
  • Latino heat needs no explanation!

He is one of my all time favorites and he truly is the latino heat. Eddie is a high flying, death defying, cheater and thats why I love him. The whole Guerrero family were wrestling innovaters and dominators. I love Lucha Libre and that whole way of life, i love all those wrestlers like: Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Gory Guerrero, Psicosis, Juventud Guerrera, Super Crazy and of course el santo. Eddie is an all time great because he's beaten everything, he's beaten the addictions, he's beaten the streets, and he beat all the odds and became world champion. (He just never beat Rey Mysterio of course!)
  • R.I.P Eddie Guerrero, one of the all-time greatest wrestlers of all time.

Eddie Guerrero. It's a name I'm sure you've heard of. Eddie Guerrero was a man that was built to enterain. His moves inside the ring and outside were amazing and inspirational. He had many friends and everybody loved him, because as I said, he was built to entertain. In the WWE, he had many friends, including Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio and the animal, Batista. The last thing he said to Stephanie McMahon, was "I'm going to be champion again holmes." Eddie was a handsome guy, and was kind. Everyone loved him even when he was heel. When Eddie Guerrero first debuted into the WWE, I was fond of him. The best thing about Eddie was the way, he would make everyone laugh, when he played possum. R.I.P Eddie Guerrero, the Latino Heat, Viva La Razza.

I think it is a shame Eddie Died when he did Especially since WWE was clearly getting ready to give him the Strap again. It is also ashame that the wwe onyly gave him the strap once and for so short a time. There is no doubt in my mind that Eddi will join the 2006 class of hall of fame inductees.

What else can you say about this man, he did not just start from the ground up but made himself a champ not just for himself but for the people as well.Everybody loved him and respected him.Not just fir his in ring ability but because he was a man among men. Rest In Peace. Let there be one and only one Eddie.

  • A great superstar.

Eddie was one of the rare superstars that had it all. He was great in the ring in every way. He could get you to hate him one week and get you to love him the next. He is going to be greatly missed. I don't think there's gonna be another superstar like him. He was passionate about the company and it showed everytime he got into the ring.
  • Eddie will truly be missed. He was such a funny guy to watch. A superstar gone way before his time. One can only hope he is in a place far better than this world.

Eddie always managed to keep me laughing while watching the smackdown and raw. I watched the show the day after the news of his passing and every superstar who spoke about him was moved to tears and it's always great to know that you've touched someone's life that way. My condolences to Eddie's loved ones. Latino Heat will live on!!
  • Simply one of the best ever wrestlers who died before his time! Viva La Raza (means roughly "power to the people")!

    10
    "Perfect"
I had a great deal of respect for Eddie, beating his addictions and freely admitting to them in the hope to help others going through what he went through! As for a wrestler, one word Talent! Eddie could get the fans to do what ever he wanted, boo, cheer, laugh, cry you name it! As for a human / man, again one word, Amazing! He loved his family and friends, he went out of his way to help people, what more can be said! If I become half the man Eddie was, I can die happy! I'll miss you Eddie, RIP! On a side note to the "smart wrestling fans", Eddie was written to win the title the day that he died! WWE were taping both RAW and SmackDown on November 13 2005 due to a tour of Europe. That's why there were so many hints about Eddie being a champion and why both heavyweight belts were put on Eddie's things! The reason Eddie was going to win the title on SmackDown was because the current champion Batista injured his back the week before and would not be able to properly compeate for a (aprox) 6 weeks.

....As for the person who wrote that Eduardo was overused if you can't say anything nice then you should save it. The man has not even been buried yet and your talentless thoughts are useless to give hope and as for religion and your lack of it " I pray YOU find it!!

"every once in a while one link is broken in a chain " and this man must have certainly been a STRONG Link.

    rest in peace Mr gaurrero!
  • Eddie was one the of the all time greatest performers in wrestling history and died too young.

    10
    "Perfect"
Eddie Guerrero was the coolest performers in History. Sure, he had problems with drugs, but he put away his personal demons for four years. It was to late though. His body was already too affected from that and wasn't able to get rid of. Eddie died of a massive heart failure. This has to be the most emotional thing i've been through, and I didn't even know the guy.

Eddie lived out his lifelong dream in 2004, when he won the WWE Championship from Brock Lesnar. I'm glad he won the title before he passed on. It's also sad to say he was going t probably win the WWE championship this Friday because Batista needs time off.

Eddie was an underdog all his life and died just too young. Rest in peace, Eddie.

Eddie will be truly missed by all. He was one of the all time best in wrestling. He has inspired many and truly loved putting on a show for the fans. He had a tough life but managed to change it around. He wanted nothing more than to give his family what he never had. You will be truly missed Eddie, you'll always be in our hearts....

I could go on in my review and mourn his lost. Yes, it wasn't his time, but I'm writing this to say thank you. Eddie Gurrero was a fantastic wrestler, a great husband and father, and an outstanding role model. He had inner demons, but he conquered them.

Gurrero did what few other wrestlers could do. He entertained you. He put on a performance that rivaled those of Shawn Micheals. Heal or Face, Gurrero new how to keep the crowd going. His skills were unmatched. He could do both the luchador style and grappler wrestling.

Gurrero was one of the best in the WWE. He was a living legend. His legacy will go on for years to come. All that is left to say is Thank You Eddie Gurrero!
  • RIP Eddie

I don't f-ing believe this. I just took a picture of him six feet away last week when he came out at Conseco in his lowrider!!!! Now suddenly he passes away in Minneapolis????

I went to WWE.com and couldn't believe this when I saw it. He has a show to do tonight ... and he's gone. He's gone.

    Latino Heat? Dead?

    R.I.P.

    My god.

One of the biggest superstars in WWE right now will be greatly missed. Undoubtedly, tonight's supershow in Minneapolis will feature a huge tribute to Gurrero and will be seen as RAW and Smackdown! this week on Monday night and Friday night, respectively.

*cries* Check out this music video tribute detailing some of the greatest moments in Eddie's wrestling career, culminating in him winning the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XX. *sniff* I don't know of ANY fan who watched this video today and didn't get emotional.

And this is the HUGE thread on ProWrestling Boards filled by comments from WWE's most loyal fans (including myself, who was AT EDDIE's FINAL SHOW last Tuesday at Conseco Fieldhouse. Indianapolis played host to Eddie's final televised match. Farewell.)

Eddie Guerrero is the best mexican wrestler there is. He was the only one in Smackdown to have a low rider brought in the building. He was awsome when he turned his back on Rey Mysterio, the flying masked monkey. He was one of the most respected wrestlers in the WWE until he turned heel or into a bad guy. I like the bad Eddie better!
