When Elizabeth was 17 years old, she moved from Hong Kong to the United States, to study dance at Juilliard school.
Elizabeth was a member of the Alvin Ailey Dance Company.
Elizabeth is 5'4" tall.
Elizabeth attended the Directing Workshop for Women at the American Film Institute. While there, she made her first award-winning movie, Requiem. It was based on her being raised in Hong Kong and her move to New York City, as a ballet student.
Elizabeth studied acting with acting teachers Sanford Meisner and Milton Katselas.
Elizabeth is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Elizabeth's graduate thesis movie, The Water Ghost, earned her an MFA in directing, from the AFI.
Elizabeth attended The Juilliard School and has a BFA in Dance.
