Elton John

In 1982, Elton wrote and recorded the song "Empty Garden" in honor of his friend, John Lennon, who had been murdered less than two years earlier. He performed the tribute at a sold-out Madison Square Garden show in August 1982 and was joined on stage by Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon.
