    • While at BYU, Emilie performed with the Young Ambassadors theater group. Her soon-to-be husband Derek was a keyboardist at the time.
    • Emilie and her sister's company, Two Little Hands Productions, has won dozens of awards, including Parents' Choice, National Parenting Publications, Great American Toy Test, Association of Library Services for Children, Telly Award, Kids First, National Parenting Center, and iParenting Media.
