Emily: (on her ability to work with computer and the parallel with her character in Arrow, Felicity Smoak) Well, I'm not terrible. [Laughs] I did grow up when computers were being used in school -- even though in elementary school they were fairly new -- so I'm not like my mom. But I'm also not fantastic with them. I definitely can't break into traffic lights and hack into systems. I've got Apple TV, but I can't figure out iCloud.
Emily: (on her role in Arrow being from a small 1 episode role to a regular on the show) Looking back on it, it was just a whirlwind at first, and it's still a dream come true. It was episode three of Season 1 where I went and auditioned for the part. It was a "possibly recurring" role, but possible doesn't end up happening a whole lot -- or ever. [Laughs] So when I got a recurring role, I was really excited and just crying and happy. I got to keep coming back, and I cannot express to you how much I've been able to learn working on the show and growing with Felicity. I've never been able to grow with a character for this long -- across two seasons!
Emily: (on her scenes with actor Grant Gustin in his role as Flash) They're really fun, they're really flirty and they're really smart. Both of them are extremely intelligent characters and I think the audience will enjoy that. Grant is a great actor. We had a great time filming and I think that will show on-camera too.
Emily: Every time the words "...final destination..." are said in or around the airport I scan the area for all potential life threats.
Emily: Dogs don't talk so they can keep all your secrets.
Emily: I do not believe in replacing your favorite cancelled show. I believe in marathoning, excessive quoting, and occasionally crying.
Emily: Every time I hear the words "...on a plane" in sequence my brain involuntarily thinks of snakes.
Emily: It's all about music. Music and perfume.
Emily: No I'm not a vegetarian.
Emily: The worst thing about my lactose intolerance is my adoration for powdered cheese.
Emily: I live in Canada. Maple syrup should be free.
Emily: (on filming in Vancouver, her hometown) I love Vancouver. I look forward to working somewhere else one day as well, but working at home is amazing. I'm sure my dog Ophelia would hate getting on a plane. I'll show you all the good eating spots! Let me know!?
Emily: (on the attention the show Arrow gets) I must say it was a little weird shooting when the show wasn't on air because this excitement just sits and builds inside you waiting for the date of the premiere! The response has been nothing but passionate, which generates even more excitement for us!
Emily: (on the impact her role in Arrow had on her) We were shooting so close to my apartment, so it felt like my hometown. I was sitting in a coffee shop on break, looking around, like 'This is my life. This is my life!'
Emily: (on becoming a regular in the series Arrow) I was a day player, sooo my life has changed, to say the least. I'm thrilled. I don't know how else to put it. I am the happiest person.
