He was born Erik Weiner, but right now he's going by his hip-hop name, Red Dragon or Dragon.
Born and raised in San Francisco, Erik Weiner (a.k.a. Red Dragon) got his start in show business while still in college. During his senior year at NYU, Erik got together with some friends and ates and created "The Bomb-itty of Errors". This original and brilliant adaptation of William Shakespeare's work received critical praise during its off-Broadway run in New York City and Chicago. It was nominated for Drama Desk and Outer Critics' Circle Awards (New York) and won the coveted Jeff Award (Chicago). The play was featured as part of the prestigious U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, Colorado where it won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Theater Show. Shortly after "The Bomb-itty's" award-winning performance in Aspen, Erik and his fellow co-stars/co-creators were signed to a film & television deal with MTV. This October, Erik made his feature film debut in the 20th Century Fox romantic comedy, "Brown Sugar". The film stars Taye Diggs, Sanaa Latham, Mos Def & Queen Latifah. On the small screen, Erik has been seen on HBO's "The Sopranos" & NBC's "Third Watch". Erik currently resides in Los Angeles and New York and is writing and starring in the MTV musical sketch comedy show, "Scratch + Burn". The "Bomb-itty of Errors" is currently running in Chicago and at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.
