Born in Los Angeles, California in 1985, Eva Marcelle Pigford had a tough childhood that was surrounded by violence and tumultuous family relations. Despite the odds, she managed to graduate high school with flying colors, and then relocated to the East Coast to study at Clark Atlanta University.



Nicknamed "Eva the Diva" ever since she was a little girl because of her over-the-top, flamboyant attitude, Eva was doing some small modeling gigs (when school would permit her to do so), when she heard the call for models for the third cycle/season of Tyra Bank's show



… More America's Next Top Model. Eva submitted her application for the series and was granted acceptance. Though considered the underdog throughout the show (at 5'7", she was the shortest of all the contestants), Eva lasted through each competition thanks to her gorgeous pictures and spunky attitude. In America's Next Top Model's emotional and grueling final episode, Eva beat out Yaya Da Costa Johnson for the win after the judges spent a lot of time deliberating. With the victory, Pigford claimed a contract with Ford Models, a $100,000 modeling deal with CoverGirl and a fashion spread in Elle magazine. With this head start, she was sure to have a promising future.



Since then she has been in many movies, ad campaigns, and music videos. Her star power has become so amazing that Missy Elliot and Lil' Kim have referenced her in thier songs. This just the beginning of Eva Diva's fantastic career.

    "Eva the Diva" is my personal favorite actress on Y&R. I have been watching this show since I was a little girl with my realtives. As I grew up I started watching my own favorite shows. America's Next Top Model is one of them. I was always her biggest fan on ANTM & had no doubt in my mind that she wouldn't win. This girl is beautiful & super talented. I know her future is full of success so watch out for her Hollywood! Todays episode when Tyra was upset because she thought she had lost Ana's trust was great. I saw a side of Eva that was so talented. The way she cried so passionately really touched my heart. I love you Eva!
