Felicity Huffman

In October 2009, Huffman joined the lifestyle brand philosophy and the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to raise funds and awareness for the battle against cancer.

In September 2009, Felicity, along with her husband William H. Macy and Desperate Housewives co-star Teri Hatcher, participated in the Nautica Malibu Triathlon for the benefit of Children's Hospital Los Angeles.

In 1996, Felicity lent her voice as background singer in Rebecca Pidgeon's album The New York Girls' Club.

Entertainment Weekly ranked Huffman at No.5 on the Entertainer of the Year List for 2005. She was also chosen as one of People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful People in the World, Beauty at Every Age section, for age 44, in May 2007.

During January of 2007, Felicity co-wrote a book with Patricia Wolff called A Practical Handbook for the Boyfriend, which offers guys tips on everything from dating to male underwear.

In 2005, Felicity revealed that in her teenage years, she had suffered from both anorexia and bulimia, but was able to overcome those conditions.

Felicity's parents, Moore Peters Huffman, a banker, and Grace Valle Ewing, an actress, divorced when she was only a year old. She has six sisters and an older brother Moore and was raised primarily by her mother.

Huffman is a founding member and a former student of the Atlantic Theater Company, where she met her husband William H. Macy.

In 2005, Felicity was on the "Wildest Dreams" segment of Oprah, where she got to sing backup for her idol, Tina Turner. One of Huffman's dreams is to be a backup singer.

In 2004, Felicity starred in the made-for-TV movie Reversible Errors, with her husband, William H. Macy. In 2005, they both received Emmy nominations, Huffman for Desperate Housewives and William for The Wool Cap.

Her stage debut was portraying Joe in A Taste of Honey at the Stage Theatre in New York City in 1982. She made her Broadway debut as Karen, taking over for Madonna, in Speed-the-Plow at the Royale Theatre in 1988.

On September 6, 1997, Felicity married actor/director/writer William H. Macy. They have been living in Los Angeles, California with their two children, Sofia (b. August 1, 2000) and Georgia (b. March 14, 2002).

Felicity is 5' 5" (1.65 m) tall. She has blonde hair and green eyes.

Felicity's nickname when she was just a child was Flicka, given to her by her mother.
