  • Quotes

    • Fergie: (revealing she is desperate to lose the 6kg she put on for the movie "Nine" before she marries Josh Duhamel) I've actually gained (4.5kg)! No, really - for the film, Nine. Actually, (6kg) to be exact. I ate everything! Fish and chips. Everything fried - things I don't normally eat. I have to give the bad food up now! So, yeah - I'm in that phase! Back to diet designs - my food delivery service!

    • Fergie: (on planning her 2009 wedding to Josh Duhamel) I have a big stack of wedding magazines, and I've never picked one up before in my life. I've been touring for a long time, and I want to go home this summer and spend time with my family and get in the studio and just take some time to think about everything.

    • Fergie: (on winning a role as prostitute Saraghina in the movie "Nine") I'm speechless. I'm definitely going to be a sponge on set. I want to pick up on everything that all these brilliant actors are bringing to the table. I'm probably going to be the quietest that I've ever been while working just because I want to watch and learn.

    • Fergie: The best thing about fame is flying on a private jet, as I don't have to go through security or wait at a regular airport. I love it - I'm not going to lie.

    • Fergie: When you respect yourself, others will too.

    • Fergie: Josh [Duhamel] bought me a walk-in closet and I'm in heaven.

    • Fergie: (revealing she had lesbian affairs as a backlash against her strict Catholic upbringing) I've had lesbian experiences in the past. I won't say how many men I've had sex with - but I'm a very sexual person.

    • Fergie: In Australia, I got a beer opener that was made from kangaroo testes. That was pretty interesting. I didn't bring it home.

    • Fergie: The first time I performed with the Black Eyed Peas, I didn't go to the bathroom before I went onstage. I was jumping and nature called.

    • Fergie: Relationship is relationship; career is career.

    • Fergie: I do everything differently.

    • Fergie: My relationship with Josh [Duhamel] is the healthiest I've ever been in. I don't want to ruin it with fame.

    • Fergie: (About how the members of the Black Eyed Peas dress)Everyone has their different look... Will's got his knickers and crazy socks, and Taboo has his kung fu wear. I have to think of words to put my style into. I would say kind of urban gypsy, because I collect things, accessories, from all over the world [Asia, Africa, Brazil], and that is definitely what, for me, helps make an outfit my own.

    • Fergie: I used to do my hair and clothes in exactly the same way. It really brings me back. People have never seen me in the Black Eyed Peas videos going to clubs and hanging out with my girls, and that's a big part of me. I love to go to clubs, hang out, get buck wild, get into fashion. I probably need more girl energy in my life, because I'm around boys all the time.

    • Fergie: And I'm so happy with the way it's turning out, but we just felt after Elephunk that we needed to make another Black Eyed Peas record.

    • Fergie: Not only that, but they're the best dancers on the planet. So for me, I was kind of timid at first. And little by little, I would work my way in to figure out where I fit in on the stage.

    • Fergie: I'm very lucky. You know, I started in show business at about seven years old. That's why I feel so appreciative of everything now because I've been working hard at this all my life.

    • Fergie: Who would I like to kiss? Probably Madonna because I'm jealous Christina and Britney already got there.

    • Fergie: To me, when people don't expect much of you talent-wise, and then they come to one of our shows, it probably makes the show better for the person because they got something they didn't expect.

    • Fergie: It's weird because I ended up on the cover of a magazine called FHM, and I had not approved that.

    • Fergie: It's funny because it's backwards. A lot of times I don't overtly try to dress sexy. In fact, I've actually made an effort not to. Because I don't want it to be all about that, you know? I've been wearing baggier clothes at my shows, just because it's important to me that people know I am an artist, and not just some men's trophy model.

    • Fergie: I can crowd surf if I want and I'm not going to get in trouble with anybody.

    • Fergie: I started doing Ecstasy. Then I got addicted to crystal methamphetamine. My weight dropped to 90lb. I lied to my friends and said I was bulimic. Finally I started going crazy. In that moment I talked to God and He said: 'I've given you all these gifts, so what are you doing?' I decided to get clean. I told everybody what was wrong.

She is also a great host. Her voice is different that is for sure. Style icon to some...
  • Enough of Fergie.

I don't dislike Fergie, I just don't think she's as good as the music world would like to think. She is, in a sense, overrated. I think she is just an average singer with too much reliance on making sexual noises in her songs to get by. Her lyrics are also quite repetitive. I think she was much better in the Black Eyed Peas. She often hid from being the focal point of attention. Now that she is a solo artist, she is being exposed for the weak vocals she has. Overall, she isn't bad, just not that good, just my opinion. Thank you.moreless
