Forest Whitaker

Now for something completely different. To go from Eddie Murphy to Forest Whitaker is like going from a giant F to a proud A. Forest has done it all, he has taking a lot of chances, has put up really strong performances and has come to be known as a respectable actor.



This actor has the complete resume. He knows how to play soft characters, tough characters, comics, you know name it. His performance of Lt. Jon Kavanaugh on repetitive and ailing "The Shield" was my major motivation for watching that show but even before that in movies like "Panic Room", "Last King of Scotland", "Species", "American Gun" Forest has shown his skill as a actor.



He is up there with Denzel Washington and Cuba Gooding Jr. as capable actors but sadly doesn't quite get the same attention as they do but make no mistake that's he's a great actor.



Things can only get better for him and by the time his acting career is over unlike other actors (white or black) he can look back and say that his had a strong career in the business.

I think that Forest Whitaker is a very, very good actor. You can see him acting and you can really believe that the role he is doing is fantastic. I like his style and I think that he is one of the best actors around to stay. I like him in the film The Last King of Scotland, he was awesome.

Forest Whitaker is a true actor. You really believe that he got into acting because he loves it for what it is. You'll never see him in any tabloids and you won't hear any gossip about him. In his roles, you sense more realism than many other actor's who are considered more talented than he. Of all of his roles in all of his movies, my favorite has to be "Phone Booth."

a very good actor that gets no credit for his work was real good in ghost dog and is doin a amazing job in the shield this actor should get more movie roles so everybody can see how great he is one of my favorite actors since i seen ghost dog which is a must see movie for everybody.

Forest Whitaker is one of those actors that is an absolute pleasure to watch. I just don't get why he hasn't become more famous than he is now, but I guess it's just the curse of the character actor. They beef up and carry the movies for the usually less talented stars and make the movies memorable.



The guy is good, very good.
