Fran Kranz to appear on Dollhouse with Eliza Dushku. He'll appear as genius programmer who's articulate, nerdily attractive and blithely amoral. He's responsible for imprinting the dolls - and making sure they stay unaware of anything. Is fascinated by the science and kind of digging… More the illegality. Fun to be around, but might not be remotely trustworthy. I am very excited about the show itself and looking forward to seeing it. What are your thoughts?

Plus: Warehouse 13 gets a return date, Dexter's Julie Benz lands a pilot, and the Gossip Girl spin-off fiasco comes to an end.
Dollhouse didn't exactly live up to our live up to our (admittedly astronomical) expectations, but there's no doubting that, toward the end of Season 1, the program showed signs of the Joss Whedon brilliance we're used to. We've come a long way from our initial thoughts of abandoning the show outright (seriously, the first few episodes were barely watchable), and we're intrigued to find out what's in store for Season 2.
Joss Whedon's new show will star Battlestar Galactica's Tahmoh Penikett as Dushku's love interest.
