    • Why do Fools Fall in Love, the song that would become synonomous with Lymon was originally title Why Do Birds Sing So Gay when his band mates, Jimmy Merchant and Herman Santiago wrote the song after getting some love letters. But Lymon added his own spin and the song became Why Do fools Fall in Love.

    • Frankie and his band, The Teenagers, were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993.
