Fred Savage

Fred had his first real kiss as a child with Danica McKellar who played his love interest/next door neighbor on the 1988 hit, The Wonder Years.

In 1985, Fred was painfully afflicted with osteoarthritis and had real difficulty performing simple tasks such as driving a car and walking up a flight of stairs.

Fred appeared on the music video of the song "Voices That Care".

Fred proposed to Jennifer with a five-carat sapphire ring from Neil Lane Jewelers. They got married on August 7, 2004 which took place at L'Orangerie Restaurant in Los Angeles, California.

Fred is five feet and ten inches tall.

Fred's father Lew is a real estate executive. His mother Joanne is a housewife. He has a younger sister Kala and a younger brother Ben, who is also an actor.

Having started his film-feature directing career in comedy and kids' fare, Fred admits to looking at careers of Chris Columbus and Shawn Levy as the ones he would like to emulate.

In preparation for directing Daddy Day Camp, Fred watched movies of a similar genre such as Parent Trap, Home Alone, Kindergarten Cop, Cheaper by the Dozen, and The School of Rock.

Fred's feature film directorial debut is with the movie Daddy Day Camp.

While starring on Working, Fred appeared in two public service announcements for NBC's The More You Know. His topics were teen encouragement and parental involvement.

Fred is Steven Goodson in the 2004 film The Last Run.

Fred won the "Young Artist Award" in 1987 for The Boy Who Could Fly, in 1988 for The Princess Bride, and in 1989 for The Wonder Years.

Fred won the Saturn Award for "Best Performance by a Younger Actor" for his role in the film Vice Versa in 1990.

Fred won the Q Award for "Best Actor in a Quality Comedy Series" in 1989 and 1990 for playing Kevin Arnold on The Wonder Years.

Fred enjoys reading, writing, camping, fishing, and bicycling in his spare time.

Fred was ranked #27 in VH1's list of 100 Greatest Kid Stars.

Fred and his wife Jennifer asked for donations to be made to the Children's Hospital Cancer Center of Los Angeles, in memory of their childhood friend, in lieu of wedding presents.

Fred is a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Fred graduated from high school in 1994 from Brentwood high, in Los Angeles, California. He went on to attend Stanford University, graduating with his Bachelor's Degree in English and communications, in 1999.

Fred appeared in the play The Last Night Of Ballyhoo in 2001 at the El Portal Center for the Arts Circle Theater in North Hollywood, California.

Fred appeared in commercials for Pac-Man vitamins in 1982 and for Pepsi-Cola in 1990.

Fred was nominated for his first Emmy Award at twelve years old, for his work on The Wonder Years, making him the youngest person ever nominated.

Fred appeared with his younger brother Ben on the 1989 movie Little Monsters, and directed him in an episode of Boy Meets World in 1998. He also appeared with his brother in one of the show's episodes.

Fred made his very first big screen appearance in 1980, at four years old in the hit movie Dinosaur.

Fred and his wife, Jennifer Lynn Stone, have a son born August 5, 2006. They named him, Oliver Philip Savage. Daughter, Lily Aerin Savage, was born on May 3, 2008.

Fred joined the long list of celebrities lampooned by South Park. It happened in South Park episode 22 entitled "Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls."
