Garrison Keillor's weekly radio show, A Prairie Home Companion, broadcasts from various halls around the U.S. throughout the year but when Keillor is home in his native Minnesota it broadcasts regularly from the Fitzgerald Theatre, named after novelist F. Scott Firzgerald, in St. Paul. In Robert Altman's 2006 film A Prairie Home Companion, Keillor portrays G.K, the host of a radio show called A Prairie Home Companion, which also broadcasts from the Fitzgerald Theatre, but in the film, unlike in reality, the show is ending and the Fitzgerald is to be demolished. In this respect, as of 2006, life is not imitating art.
